Interventional Radiology Theatres at Hull Royal Infirmary has a highly-regarded vascular, neuro-vascular and non-vascular interventional service with unrivalled resources, and a committed, professional team of Radiologists, Radiographers and Nurses. This also includes a regional mechanical thrombectomy service for stroke patients
We are now looking to recruit Band 5 Staff Nurses to join our team, with full training, mentorship and support provided to those who display the right qualities, and a genuine interest in radiology nursing.
Our department typically operates Monday-Friday, with a 24 hour on call emergency service, which you’ll be required to contribute to following initial training and a successful assessment. For this reason, all our team live within 30 minutes of HRI and preferably have their own transport.

Main duties of the job:
Nursing care of patients undergoing interventional radiological procedures. Scrubbing and circulating for procedures, recovery of patients in the day unit. Administration of intravenous medications and conscious sedation. Performing pre-assessments
